Pittsburgh ToonSeum Event: "45 Years of Zippy the Pinhead: An Evening With Cartoonist Bill Griffith"

Bill Griffith is in Pittsburgh this weekend. From the Pittsburgh Post Gazette:

The 76-year-old cartoonist, who still creates seven “Zippy” strips a week, comes to Pittsburgh Friday for the ToonSeum event “45 Years of Zippy the Pinhead: An Evening With Cartoonist Bill Griffith,” the culmination of the [Toonseum's] long-term exhibition “Alt Weekly Comics,” which concludes April 11. On Saturday, Mr. Griffith will participate in programming at the Pittsburgh Indie Comix Expo, presented by the ToonSeum and Copacetic Comics on the South Side.
Thanks to my Dad for the heads up.

About 25 years ago, I sent Bill Griffith some of the first cartoons I ever drew, and he wrote me a nice note back. It was great to get that early encouragement.
